I tried out a new technique I have read about in the internet: Using baby oil with Crayons. Well, I don’t get Crayons here in germany. So I used my Faber Castell Polychroms. And it seems to work, too. After shading my drawing with the color pencils, I dipped a cotton swamp into some baby oil and used it to get a gradient in the shadings. The result is far away from perfect, but with some practice it might be a good alternative to Crayons and an interesting new way to work with you tools.
